Legal
Terms and Conditions
These terms apply when you buy from Yorkshire Home Interiors Ltd, whether online through this website or in our Sheffield showroom. Please read them before you order. Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Who we are
Yorkshire Home Interiors Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16429184, with its showroom and registered address at 264 Queens Rd, Lowfield, Sheffield S2 4DL. Contact details are on our contact page.
2. Placing an order
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation, or, for showroom purchases, when we accept your payment or deposit and issue an order form.
We may decline an order if the item is unavailable, if we have identified a pricing or description error, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if we suspect fraud. If we decline an order we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
3. Products and descriptions
We describe our products as accurately as we can. Photographs and swatches are a guide: wood grain, leather markings, fabric shades and dye lots vary naturally between batches, and screens render colour differently. Dimensions are nominal and may vary slightly within manufacturing tolerances.
Ex-display and clearance items are sold in their current condition. Any marks or wear are pointed out before you buy, and you are welcome to inspect the item in the showroom.
4. Price, payment and finance
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT at the current rate. Delivery charges are shown separately before you pay. The price you pay is the price confirmed on your order.
If a price is obviously wrong and the error should reasonably have been apparent to you, we are not obliged to supply at that price. We will contact you, and you may confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Online orders are paid in full at checkout. Showroom orders may be secured with a deposit, with the balance due before delivery. We accept the card types and digital wallets shown at checkout.
Finance is provided by a third-party lender, is subject to status and affordability checks, and is governed by the lender’s own agreement, which you should read before signing. Yorkshire Home Interiors Ltd acts as a credit broker, not a lender. Goods bought on finance remain the property of the lender or of us until paid for in full.
5. Delivery
Delivery timescales given at the point of order are estimates based on supplier information. We will keep you updated if a date moves. Delivery costs, areas and what our team does on the day are set out on our delivery page, which forms part of these terms.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes once we have received payment in full. You are responsible for checking access before ordering; if we cannot deliver because of access or because nobody is there on an agreed date, a re-delivery charge may apply.
6. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Your right to cancel an online order, the position on made-to-order goods, and how we handle faults are set out in full on our returns and refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
7. Guarantees and our liability
Goods are supplied with the manufacturer’s guarantee stated on your paperwork, alongside your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Guarantees cover manufacturing defects and do not cover wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage or failure to follow care instructions.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, or for loss arising from your failure to follow our advice on measuring, assembly or care. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Because we sell to consumers, we are not liable for business losses such as loss of profit, business interruption or lost opportunity.
8. Using this website
You may use this site for lawful purposes only. All content, including text, images, logos and the Yorkshire Home Interiors name and marks, belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.
If you create an account you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw products and content at any time.
9. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including supplier failure, transport disruption, extreme weather, fire, flood or industrial action. If such an event affects your order we will contact you as soon as possible, and if the delay is substantial you may cancel and receive a full refund of anything paid for undelivered goods.
10. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please contact the showroom first — most issues are resolved in a single phone call. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and to resolve them within 14 days. If we cannot resolve matters between us, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution provider, and Citizens Advice can give you free impartial guidance.
11. Your data
How we handle your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
12. General
We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to that order. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts.
If anything here is unclear, please contact us before placing your order.
